About Me.
Jon C. DeSantis is the founder and principal consultant of Ranger Strategic Consulting, LLC, bringing over 24 years of elite leadership, crisis management, and behavioral health expertise to the forefront of business transformation.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran, Jon served in some of the military’s most demanding and mission-critical environments, including the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), and a senior operations role at West Point’s Commandant of Cadets personal staff. During his military career, he held top-level U.S. Army clearances, conducted operations in Iraq, and trained and led teams in high-pressure, asymmetrical warfare settings.
After transitioning from active service, Jon continued to lead, this time in the mental health and public service sectors. Over the past decade, he has built and directed veteran mental health programs across rural Pennsylvania, managed crisis response teams, and advised courts, schools, and government agencies on drug and alcohol treatment strategies. His leadership in these areas earned formal recognition from the U.S. Department of Defense Joint Chiefs of Staff for developing one of the first rural veteran mental health models in the country that took a holistic approach.
Jon holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Pennsylvania Western University.
With a deep belief in the Ranger Creed and a commitment to leading with discipline, character, and purpose, Jon founded Ranger Strategic Consulting, LLC to help organizations lead with clarity, adapt under pressure, and build winning cultures grounded in accountability, resilience, and trust.

Throughout my studies, I have developed strong skills in financial modeling, data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, enabling me to make informed, data-driven business decisions.

I earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a dual focus in Psychology and Biology, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, cognitive processes, and the biological sciences. This interdisciplinary education equipped me with critical thinking, research, and analytical skills essential for addressing complex problems in mental health, human performance, crisis management in stressful situations, and scientific inquiry.
In addition to my academic studies, I participated in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, where I developed leadership, discipline, and strategic planning skills to further my skills and career in US Special Operations. Balancing rigorous coursework with ROTC responsibilities taught me effective time management, teamwork, and resilience — qualities that have contributed significantly to my professional growth.
This combination of scientific knowledge, military leadership training, and U.S. Army Ranger School has uniquely prepared me to approach challenges with a holistic perspective, integrating both psychological insights and biological understanding with strong leadership capabilities.
